Wacky Headgear pt.2

Finally finished project helmet ^^

I should have gotten a picture a little from the side with the lights turned on so you could actually see them. Instead I'll just have to tell you that the two top ones and the two bottom ones are yellow while the four in the middle are white. The middle two white ones are more focused than the ones to the sides. In all it gives good enough illumination and I'm pretty pleased with it. The only problem is that the LEDs are angled slightly upward, so the brightest light shines a little above where I'm looking.

oh, and I'm having heaps of fun with my moustache :<)

Dude. It's all about the moustache. Evil supervillain ahoy! Now all you need is a top hat and formalwear from the 19th century and you'd be ready to take on the world!

hmm... evil supervillain isn't a career I'd considered, but now that you mention it...
*goes over to his big map of the world and writes "MINE!" over it in big red letters*

I think some pictures of you stroking the 'stache are in order. Because, you know, being an evil villain is all about the image.

How can I post about anything other than the most badass mustache I have ever seen?

Neat shirt.
Dad used to have his office on the floor over those people.

What is that for, anyway?

The helmet or the moustache?
The helmet is to protect my head while biking and the moustache is for...
...
for... finding edible stuff in the sediment at the bottom of the arctic sea?

Yeah, putting LEDs on a slope like that will cause them to angle upwards. There's not much you can do to correct for that other than putting a mount on the helmet, methinks (or gouging out a surface, but that would be counterproductive).

The next step now would be to integrate an RC oscillator and get them blinking =O)

Actually I could have avoided the problem if I'd just thought to drill the holes at a slight angle. But I didn't think of it until it was too late.

Fixed it by drilling out the upper parts of the holes a bit on the inside and gluing the LEDs in place in a slanted position. Not an ideal solution since they're now stuck there, but it was the best I could come up with.

Waaaaaaaaaah what did you do with the mustache? :S Is this part of your "scary-helmet-outfit"? ;)

Didn't have to do much at all, it curls up like that naturally. Needs a little help to look neat though.

O-M-G! There's another movie in all of this I think, Pontus (and Mitsu).
